In 2015, I started The Mothyards, a Destiny (Bungie, 2014) fan-project. It began as a daily writing exercise but is now one of the most popular and well-regarded Destiny-related Tumblrs, with more than five thousand followers and over three hundred pieces of fiction, non-fiction, short comics, and poetry.

That turned into a stint as a contributing author for Planet DestinyThey needed an in-house Lore Master, and I have always enjoyed combining my academic interests with my love of gaming. I wrote a mix of in-depth discussions of the game lore, along with user-friendly tips and guides.

Ultimately, my hobby resulted in Written in Light.

Written in Light is a Destiny fan-zine that showcases the work of the people who make Destiny beautiful. Not only does the Destiny community craft individual stories, comics, pieces of art, and other works that move and inspire us, but all of you have helped to expand the grand and terrible universe of Destiny well beyond the confines of its original release, and have transformed it into something greater than a video game.

The group behind the creation of Written in Light is made up of professional and experienced editors, artists, and designers. We share the same goal of making the end product as beautiful as the works it contains.

I co-created Written in Light in November of 2017.
